Uninstall the App

This guide explains how to properly uninstall the No Duplicates app from your Salesforce org.

Prerequisites​

Before uninstalling, make sure your user has the Download AppExchange Packages permission.

Step 1: Unassign Permission Sets​

Before uninstalling the app, you must unassign all users from the permission sets:

  • No Duplicates Admin
  • No Duplicates Read Only

Unassign No Duplicates Admin Permission Set​

  1. Go to Setup → Users → Permission Sets
  2. Find the No Duplicates Admin permission set
  3. Click the Manage Assignments button
  4. Select all users
  5. Click the Remove Assignments button
  6. Click the Done button

Unassign No Duplicates Read Only Permission Set​

  1. Repeat the same steps for the No Duplicates Read Only permission set:
    • Go to Setup → Users → Permission Sets
    • Find the No Duplicates Read Only permission set
    • Click the Manage Assignments button
    • Select all users
    • Click the Remove Assignments button
    • Click the Done button

Important: You must unassign all users from both permission sets before uninstalling. Failure to do so may prevent the uninstall process from completing.

Step 2: Uninstall the Package​

Once all permission sets have been unassigned, you can remove the package:

  1. Go to Setup → Apps → Packaging → Installed Packages
  2. Find the No Duplicates package
  3. Click Uninstall
  4. Wait for the process to complete

Uninstall Process: The uninstall process may take several minutes depending on the size of your org and the amount of data associated with the app.

Data Considerations: Uninstalling the app will remove all app-specific data, including:

  • Matching rules
  • Matching fields
  • Merge history
  • App configuration settings

Make sure to export any important data before uninstalling if needed.
